Body image refers to a person’s emotional attitudes, beliefs, and perceptions of their own body. This perception about one’s body can be positive or negative. A positive mindset about our own body helps us celebrate our body. We feel comfortable in our own skin and accept ourselves the way we are. On the other hand, a negative mindset regarding body image leads to low self-esteem and being unsatisfied with our own physique. They may feel the need to change their body size or shape.

Body image is something that can frequently change throughout one’s life. Body image has become a critical problem in today’s world. It especially affects teenagers going through puberty. Social media plays a critical role in adolescents seeking validation from various people to “fit in”. Body image can be hugely impacted by the people surrounding an individual.

Our body is the most unique trait given to us by our creator. Every single individual is made in a different manner with a physique solely for themselves. It is high time, in a world like ours one learns to accept and love their body. People should make up their minds that social media won’t affect what they think about their own bodies. The concept of inner beauty is almost lost in today’s world.

One should eat healthily and stay healthy. One should not focus on looking pretty in the mirror as every individual is beautifully and uniquely designed. Having a positive attitude towards our body promotes self-love and helps in the long run.
