A Mirror To See Yourself

When you’re insecure, and the society is judging,
I want to spread a message to the people that are hurting,
that I’ll be your mirror,
Help you see a little bit clearer,
To all that shines within.

And I just want to say:
To this judgemental society, please be kind if possible,
Make each and every insecure body feel special.
Looking in front of the mirror won’t work,
Because acceptance of the real ‘you’ is the key.

Body shape, color, don’t define one’s identity,
Nor do they define anyone’s true qualities.
So tell them to open their orthodox caged mind,
So that there would be something positive, they can find.

Your every scar, every curve defines ‘you’,
Dear, you’re so precious do you even have a clue?
Don’t try to hide your flaws with artificial,
Don’t let it matter how much society is prejudicial.

You should know you’re beautiful just the way you are,
Don’t be ashamed or scared it’s just a normal scar.
After all, we have our own gifts,
and can’t be designed as what society asks for…
