Closing of schools and lack of time spent playing outside seems to have increased time spent online for children by quite a bit, especially since classes are happening online too. Too much time spent looking at screens can be a bad sign for a child’s health. Below is a list of fun activities you and your child can do together and have some quality bonding time while you do it too.

1.   Create art together: Grab some paints, crayons, whatever you like, and start creating a masterpiece. You and your child can make one painting each or work on one big piece of art together. You can also then display your artwork on a wall or on your fridge and show off your skills.

2.   Make up a story together: You start with a sentence of a story and then your child adds the next one. Then you take turns adding to the story until you come up with an ending. You can also turn this into a project and make your own little storybook with artwork and illustrations.

3.   Make something yummy to eat: Gather a few easy ingredients from the kitchen and make a tasty snack. You can make a salad, or a sandwich together. You can also experiment with the ingredients and flavours and come up with something unique.
