Mental health, as defined by experts, bounds the emotional, psychological, and social well-being of an individual. Mental health affects how one feels, acts, and thinks. Proper mental health is vital in each walk of life – be it childhood, teenage, or adulthood. People often forget that mental health is as important as physical health. Nowadays, people are more focused on keeping their physical bodies fit. In doing so, they tend to ignore their mental health. They fail to realize the extreme power mental health holds in their viability.

Mental health is a topic of excess importance and it shouldn’t go unnoticed. It impacts every aspect of our lives. It reflects in everything we say, do, and think. Being mentally fit can promote effectiveness in our lives. It has the utmost importance for teenagers. Good mental health helps teens cope with whatever life throws at them. This ultimately helps them to grow into bright, understanding, and healthy adults. Mental well-being is also crucial to managing the stresses of life, having good relationships with people around oneself, making significant contributions to your community, and realizing one’s full potential.

Mental health is an important topic that needs to be addressed and requires attention. According to reports, one in every four people experiences mental health problems. It can affect anyone irrespective of their age or gender. By starting a conversation about this, we can break the taboo surrounding it that people who suffer with such problems are weak-willed and frail. Not reaching out for help in such times can lead to depression, OCD, social phobia, anxiety, and many more.

Our minds are god’s greatest creation. Keeping them healthy and physically fit is the key to success in all elements of life. People should be aware of the outcomes of mental illnesses and must give maximal importance to keeping our minds healthy in the same way our physical bodies are kept.
