Many of us have ingrained patterns in our diet. Some are healthy, while others fall short. It’s never too late to change your eating habits, even if you’ve been following the same one for a while. You may significantly alter your eating pattern and develop healthy eating habits if you start making little modifications to your everyday routines.

How can healthy eating habits help our bodies?

All of the major food groups, including lean proteins, whole grains, healthy fats, and colourful fruits and vegetables, are typically represented in a healthy diet by nutrient-dense foods. A healthy diet can help in keeping skin, teeth, and eyes healthy, it also strengthens muscles and bones, helps achieve and maintain a healthy weight, supports brain development, boosts immunity, and helps the digestive system function, etc.

How can setting a routine help?

Setting a routine, and cooking your own meals can help maintain a healthy diet. Kids tend to gravitate towards delicious food, and often healthy food is deemed bland or boring. Parents need to include children in the process of cooking. Ask them what are their favourite vegetables, and try to add these vegetables to their meals. Even if they dislike an ingredient, make sure to add it in a way that it isn’t noticeable. Children can consume fruits or some washed vegetables with ranch dressing, even for snacks.
